Conducts individual and group training courses and activities. Is involved in delivering technical training classes to CSEs and other internal employees.
  • Conducts training programs to prepare Field Service Engineers and RSC to support products in the field for installation, safety, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service of Laboratory Diagnostics systems. Courses will be Instructor led and virtual classes.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn new ideas and create additional learning opportunities.
  • Lectures class on safety, installation, calibration, maintenance, and service of medical equipment, following the course description, outline, handouts, and texts.
  • Demonstrates mastery of procedures being taught, such as service and troubleshooting.
  • Observes trainees in lab sessions and administers exams to assess competency.
  • Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to the facilitation of training delivery and integrates information into the training program.
  • Occasional travel to conduct technical training classes.
  • Conducts complex individual and group technical training courses and activities for employees and customers.
  • Provides feedback to support continuous improvement of course curriculum, documentation and delivery processes.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of course materials, reviews feedback and modifies/revises course materials as instructed. Collaborates with Global Training to complete the development of new course materials.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge on the application, installation, and operation of all assigned products, tools, and services.
  • May identify, evaluate, and obtain training programs and materials from external vendors.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years' experience on hemostasis and hematology laboratory systems.
  • Bachelor’s* degree in Biomedical Engineering or science related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. [*Employer will accept 2 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree]
  • Basic Electronics knowledge and troubleshooting
  • Mechanical Troubleshooting skills
  • IT Troubleshooting skills and knowledge
  • Basic Medical knowledge and medical instrumentation experience.
  • Approximately 20% travel required.

The annual base pay for this position is:

Min $89,220 - Max $133,820

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
