Description
The position entails a significant organizational and research role in the Poeppel laboratory. The main research focuses on the cognitive neuroscience of language. Typical tasks include: human participant IRB applications; recruiting participants and maintaining participant database; building and maintaining the laboratory website; data management and documentation; grant writing support; data analysis and figure generation support; active participation in experimental research using neuroimaging technologies (MEG, MRI); support of the lab team with data acquisition.
This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,656-$60,000 New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Qualifications
The candidate should have a bachelor of science degree in a technical field (computer science, neuroscience) and a master’s degree (including training in computation and cognition). Evidence of excellent spoken and written communication skills is required. Excellent coding skills are necessary. Significant research experience in computation, neuroscience, and cognition is helpful.
