Label Machine Operator - ATWATER, CA.

OVERVIEW: 

Ensure the company follows or improves the manufacturing of food products for human consumption.  

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

• To assure the highest quality of all products, finished and raw, through verification of all related documents, records, and procedures.
• Ability to carry out “Good Manufacturing Practices” to ensure a safe and clean work environment. 

• Ability to understand and carry out instructions.  
• Operates labeling machine on the R-Pac, Vantage Pack or Pack master lines by performing the following duties. 
• Checks labels, stock, size, grade, etc against labeling orders. 
• Performs running adjustments and running repairs and keep constant check on equipment. 
• Inspects labels for quality standards. 
• Ensures that label machine supplied with proper labels and adhesives. 
• Must know canning codes. 
• Maintains simple records. 
• Cleans machine, including disassembling and assembling glue elements. 
• Maintains accurate count of the cases run when necessary. 
• Maintains a clean area.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 

• Must be able to speak and read English and pass an assessment test.
• Good listening skills and habits are essential for this position.  Excellent ability to resolve issues and solve problems through personal interaction.  Above average verbal and written communication skills essential.  Some knowledge of Spanish. 
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production data.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. 
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, thoroughness, and efficiency.
• Ability to apply appropriate judgment and initiative in determining source of information, and action required for results and solutions.  Demonstrates a willingness to learn, and the ability to handle new responsibilities.  
• Ability to treat information in a strictly confidential manner. Acts in the best interest of the company throughout the day. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills. Above average attention to detail. Can demonstrate good common sense and reasoning skills. Ability to interpret a wide variety of instructions furnished in a written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
