This is a fully onsite role based at our GMP Laboratory in Middleton, WI. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position, and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

As a Team Leader at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to operational excellence while enabling our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will guide a team of Lab Techs, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Working in a cGMP environment, you'll oversee daily activities, develop team members, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and meet customer demands.
Your role will be instrumental in developing talent, improving processes, and contributing to our company's growth and success in serving science.
Education and Experience:
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Experience
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years).
Previous leadership experience preferred
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), ISO standards, and quality management systems in regulated laboratory environments
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop laboratory teams, including performance management and employee development for 5–12 direct reports
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience conducting investigations, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact across all organizational levels
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with ERP and laboratory systems
Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, and efficiency metrics
Ability to work effectively in a cGMP laboratory and cleanroom environment while following strict safety and procedural requirements
Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift materials in accordance with job requirements
