The Systems Engineering & Test: Capabilities Directorate includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & tests on all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for testing including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrating state-of-the-art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.
Raytheon is seeking a Principal Support Engineer to manage and implement engineering lab strategic projects and day-to-day administrative functions within multiple engineering labs, with specific focus on safety, security, and compliance using established doctrine and governance. You will be creative and innovative, possessing strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In the position, you must be able to collaborate with customers, employees, and senior leaders when implementing processes and procedural changes.
This position is an onsite role in Pelham, NH. Travel as needed to support mission and program execution, locally within Northeast, as well as business travel to other US locations.
What You Will Do
- Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies
- Management, coordination and implementation of Environment Health Safety and Sustainment
- Property & Metrology Management
- Perform cost analysis, ensure task completion within approved budgets
- Provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Oversee audit/assessment preparation. Overseeing Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives, including engineering customer goals
- Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations
- Develop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer management
- Work to influence stakeholders within and outside responsible areas at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures
- Work autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input, guidance, and problem solving
- This position requires some physical exertion while standing, sitting, or walking, working outside
- Local travel in the general area is required, with occasional travel outside the local area

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years’ prior relevant experience.
