Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator in the Department of Neurology, the Lab Helper will prepare medium and solutions for cell culture, perform mouse handling and habituation, monitor animals, order lab supplies, wash and autoclave glassware, and maintain notebook and computer records.

Please note, this is a part-time limited position and may convert to career.

 Salary Range: $20.05 - $25.43/Hourly

Required:

• Must be familiar with the theory and experienced with the practice of behavioral testing
• Must have experience working with zebrafish.
• Must have standard lab skills such as making solutions and using a pH meter are recommended.
• Must be familiar with computer programming skills (with Excel) is highly desirable.
• They will also contribute to writing and publication research.
• Must be familiar with working with environmental toxins such as pesticides.
• Must maintain all safety and ARC requirements.
