This position provides support, organization, and maintenance for all regional science laboratories.
Major Responsibilities are:
1.Supports faculty during instruction of courses that include science laboratories.
2.Prepares for laboratory experiments by properly setting up lab equipment as instructed by faculty and removing such equipment at the conclusion of a class period.
3.Responsible for keeping laboratories safe, clean, and organized.
4.Tracks and inventories lab equipment, tests all equipment, and manages all laboratory consumables.
5.Assists in preparation of classroom handouts and presentation materials (PowerPoint, etc.)
6.Acts as a primary support person for adjunct faculty to enhance lab instruction.
7. Participate in community service, service learning, and civic engagement projects and activities as deemed appropriate by supervisor.
8.All other duties as assigned, consistent with commonly accepted practices.
Advanced level knowledge, skills, and abilities attained through two (2) years of specialized post-secondary education/training or technical/industry certification in a specific area and substantial related experience.
Positions further entail independent work effort, confidentiality, and working relationships and contacts with administrators both inside and outside the organization
Must possess excellent communication skills, be extremely dependable, and have a flexible work schedule.
