Kitchen Support

General Statement of Duties: Perform a variety of routine food service duties.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Preparing and assembling ingredients from pre-planned menu using various kitchen gadgets and cooking methods - stovetop, grilltop, baking.
• Provide meals to the residents, staff and visitors to campus.
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
• Wash, clean and care for kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Maintain and direct orderly and sanitary conditions of freezers, refrigerators, storerooms, and kitchen.
• Receive new stock and store in appropriate areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen with commercial equipment.
• Must be 18 years of age and a high school graduate, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to pass drug screen and background.

Working conditions/Physical requirements:

• May be exposed to heat/cold temperatures in kitchen/storage areas.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, move equipment, supplies in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
• Have physical condition and stamina.
