About the role
Kit Crew Lead (1st Shift, Duncansville)
Primary responsibility of the Kit Crew Lead is to lead the day-to-day activities of the Kit team in order to work safely, produce quality products and meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Lead and be Responsible for the Kit Cell production team to meet daily production scheduling requirements while ensuring all products are made to standard work and quality requirements
- Operates with Safety as priority during Kit production
- Lead Team on production goals and rate
- Able to train new Kit operators in all job requirements in Kit work center
- Liaison between Kit work center and production leadership
- React quickly and help resolve problems encountered during production
- Adhere to New Pig’s Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
- Strong leader able to coach and engage team members
- Experience and/or knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Respectful of people – able to provide positive feedback to encourage fellow Kit operators to achieve goals
- Demonstrated ability to operate the different types of powered industrial truck or willing to be trained if required
- Has basic technical knowledge of New Pig products and processes
