Love animals? Buckeystown Veterinary Hospital is looking for a dedicated, compassionate individual to help care for our four-legged guests! As a Part-Time Kennel Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of our team—providing top-notch care to dogs and cats in a clean, safe, and fun environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Feeding, walking, and providing general care to animals
• Cleaning kennels and play areas
• Monitoring animal behavior and alerting staff to any issues
• Giving lots of attention, affection, and belly rubs!

Requirements

• Passion for animals and their well-being
• Thoroughly clean and disinfect the kennel areas of the hospital as often as is necessary
• Bathe, medicate, and provide Tender Loving Care to boarding animals
• Assist with intake and discharge of all pets. Make sure cages and animals are properly labeled and that personal property (toys, treats, blankets, leashes) are identified and stored in the proper area
• Communicate with clients whether in person or through text/email 
• Ability to comfortably use a computer for basic tasks like checking schedules and updating records
• Patrol hospital grounds daily (front and back), picking up any trash and stool material
• Demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic
• Possess the drive to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet
