Junior Treasury Accountant

Job Description

The Jr. Treasury Accountant will perform a wide range of duties in support of the Corporate Treasury department, with an emphasis on cash management, analyses and accounting for cash transactions. This role reports directly to the Manager of Treasury.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including other duties as may be assigned):

• Daily cash reconciliation and preparation of month end journal entries.
• Daily cash management duties including initiating EFTs and other transfers.
• Basic FX functions including analysis of exposure, trade execution and daily exchange rate maintenance.
• Backup/Support basic AR functions.
• Support for internal/external audit functions as necessary.
• Ad hoc financial analyses, reporting and inter-departmental support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting / Finance or 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Must display strong communication, time management and analytical skills
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and take initiative
• Self-starter mentality - able to complete tasks with minimal direction
• Flexibility to support multiple departments as necessary
• Strong written/oral communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse work group of vendors, customers, consultants and other professionals
