Junior Software Engineer-Hybrid

V2X is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to join a small multi-discipline team of engineers supporting the Transportation Technology and Tolling Solutions (T3S) OmniToll product line in software development, integration and test efforts. This opportunity is for a junior engineer to integrate into a senior product line team working in an agile development environment with opportunities for growth into a IPT lead role. Flexibility to work hybrid work schedule of remote and on-site availability in the Metro West, MA area.  Desired technical skills listed below.

Required Skills:

• Familiarity with in using Linux/Unix workstation and is familiar with Linux commands
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting in a Windows environment
• Experienced in using integrated software development tools, such as Jenkins, GIT, VisualStudio
• Experience with HTML and XML schemas
• Knowledge of communication technology such as TCP/IP, HTTP
• Experienced in using software development tools, such as gradle/Eclipse/artifactory.
• Has worked in an Agile/Scrum environment and is familiar with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Candidate should be well versed in software configuration management and version control, preferably has used Git

Desired Skills:

• Candidate is an experienced Java programmer and has working knowledge of JEE. JBOSS/Wildfly experience would be a plus.
• Candidate is familiar with database, database schemas, Entity Relationship models, stored procedures. Has worked with relational database such as Oracle/Postgress/SQL Server
• Familiarity with Model-View-Controller design pattern for graphical user interface design. Experience in Javascript and GUI frameworks such as Angular/React
• Candidate is experienced in Web services protocols such as SOAP and REST

Education Requirements:

B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
