Job Description:
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Junior Scrum Master to lead our IT Operations and Automation teams, consisting of 22 members, through their agile transformation journey. This unique position offers the chance to design, develop, and mature the Agile framework within teams that are new to Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in moving the team away from reactive firefighting towards a structured, efficient, and visually transparent workflow that aligns with customer expectations and integrates with their sprint and increment planning cycles.
Responsibilities:
- Introduce and champion Agile methodologies and practices to the IT Operations and Automation teams.
- Work closely with the teams to identify, design, and implement Agile best practices tailored to our unique operational context.
- Develop and maintain visualizations of the team’s workflow for internal and external stakeholders, enhancing transparency and understanding of our work.
- Guide the teams in integrating their operations with customer sprint and increment planning cycles, improving alignment and responsiveness.
- Manage and optimize the use of Jira and Azure DevOps for external and internal work planning, respectively.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and team-building skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience with Jira and Azure DevOps for managing complex workflows.
Here is what you need:
- 2 years of proven experience in a Scrum Master or similar role, with a passion for Agile methodologies.
- 2 years of providing ongoing support and training to team members on Agile principles and practices, ensuring a smooth transition and continuous improvement.
- 1+ years facilitating Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.) and ensure clear communication and collaboration among team members.
- Ability to work on-site daily in Lorton, VA.
Bonus points if you have:
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, etc.).
- Experience in IT Operations and/or Automation environments.
- Knowledge of integrating operations into customer Agile planning cycles.
Security Clearance:
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance
Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role
California: $73,900 - $132,100
Colorado: $73,900 - $114,000
New York: $68,400 - $132,100
Washington: $78,600 - $121,500
