JUNIOR MANUFACTURING ASSOCIATE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE JUNIOR MANUFACTURING ASSOCIATE

  • Learn and assist in various stages of the Athens Manufacturing process.
  • Provide production employees with guidance, direction, and supervision in support of departmental operations.
  • Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results.
  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Communicate any issues or concerns to the Manager and work together to find solutions.
  • Participate in training opportunities to develop skills and advance in company.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and will respond to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain well-organized and productive work areas.
  • Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives.
  • Performs all other duties and assignments.

REQUIRED FOR THE JUNIOR MANUFACTURING ASSOCIATE

  • High school diploma required. Two-year degree or vocational school preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/operational environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of disciplined problem-solving methods.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
  • Problem solving and project management skills.
  • Willing to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Key communication skills (with emphasis on mutual respect).
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others.
  • Knowledge of positive employee relations practices.
