Responsibilities:
- Researching, applying and interpreting established policies and procedures. It requires gathering data and preparing, tracking, maintaining, and updating employee records and information.
- Responsible for providing clear and concise feedback and instruction to employees when corrections/changes are required; maintaining metrics statistics, analyzing and evaluating complex information to form sound conclusions and taking appropriate action(s).
- Apply general business processes of the office to resolve routine to complex mission-driven issues; draft written notifications that are understandable, and assist customers in becoming self-sufficient in finding information to answer a variety of payroll questions.
- May be asked to assist with payroll close and voucher preparation.
- Responsible for analyzing, handling, and processing of overpayments.
- Initiate internal and external notifications to employees within 1 pay period of the posting of the debt to the general ledger.
- Monitor and collect dept to ensure compliance with Federal Regulations, to include the preparation of correspondence and memo transfer to Debt Collection.
- After 90-day training period, the candidate will be expected to process 10-15 cases per pay period, maintain up to date case information, and ensure work is within the audit criteria.
- After approximately 6 months of being in the position, the candidate is expected to become a Focal Point in several of the following roles:
- Monitor and process payroll deduction during Payroll Close
- Processing Salary Advances
- Processing Pay Memos
- Retirement Code Changes/Fiscal Audit
- LWOP Checks/Cash Receipts
- Overpayments
- Workmen's Comp
- Memos/Debt Letters
- Responsible for ad hoc or other tasks relevant to the role.
Qualifications:
Required:
TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Three years performing financial records processing and management.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to collaborate.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
Desired:
Sponsor experience and system knowledge is desired but not required.
