Juice Bar Shift Lead (full-time or part-time, open availability including weekends)

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and inspire a team to deliver top-notch customer service and high-quality juice bar and coffee creations
• Prepare fresh juices, smoothies, coffees, and specialty drinks with organic, locally sourced ingredients
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace
• Manage inventory, assist with ordering, and ensure all recipes meet our co-op’s sustainability and quality standards
• Train and support team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
• Handle cash, opening/closing duties, and ensure shift operations run smoothly

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Previous customer service experience; high ethical standards with personal integrity
• English proficiency 
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business
• Strong organizational and communication skills (spoken, listening, & written)
• Ability to meet deadlines, coordinate projects and work varied hours and days
• Ability to influence others, drive innovation and change while confronting and resolving conflict positively
• Demonstrated objectivity, neutrality, and calmness under pressure and timely follow-through to commitments
• Regular, predictable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-3+ years barista experience
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience in retail, grocery/co-ops, natural foods or related industry

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift 30-50+ pounds regularly
• Ability to stand in a confined space, bend, lift and reach repeatedly for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a refrigerated/frozen and/or hot/humid environment for extended periods of time
• Manual dexterity with ability to perform repeated actions for extended periods of time
• Must be willing and able to physically handle all products that Valley Natural Foods carries, inc. pork.
