TSC is seeking a Jr. Certification Support Engineer in Dahlgren, VA. Based in Dahlgren, VA and strategically located near Fredericksburg, VA and between Washington, DC and Richmond, VA, this is an awesome opportunity for veterans transitioning to civilian life or seasoned professionals looking to use their talent and expertise in support of the U.S. Navy.
This position will support The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) TSC office.

Responsibilities:
- System and engineering support for the certification of current and future Naval Surface Combat Systems.
- Perform Combat System certification assessments in accordance with Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) combat system certification policy, including assessments of mission effectiveness, capabilities, and limitations to understand and characterize the risks associated with deployment of a Combat System.
- Provide recommendations and assist in translating certification critical defects into operational risks, impacts, and guidance.
- Gather, assess, and maintain artifacts that can be used as Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for certification.
- Generate certification related documentation and briefing material including Certification Plans, Statement of Findings (SOFs), assessment reports, status reports, and Combat System authorization and certification letters.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate authorization and deployment panels.
- Communicate with, interact, and provide briefs to senior DoD/DoN personnel.
- Provide recommendations to improve process, and tools to support an enterprise certification approach.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- High School Diploma
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Highly organized
- Detail oriented
- Willing to learn
