About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our professional team and take the lead on commercial plumbing projects. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a demanding but rewarding opportunity for a skilled journeyman plumber who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain a variety of plumbing systems in commercial buildings, including, but not limited to:
Sanitary waste and vent systems
Water supply systems
Backflow prevention systems
Gas piping systems
Fixtures and appliances
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Lay out and fabricate piping systems
Cut, thread, and join pipes using various methods
Install and solder fittings
Test and troubleshoot plumbing systems
Identify and repair leaks
Perform preventative maintenance tasks
Oversee the work of your assigned team of plumbers, apprentices and helpers
Manage JIT delivery of materials, fixtures and components
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations
Maintain accurate and complete documentation
Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
Request, supervise and manage inspections by appropriate institutions
Uphold the company's commitment to safety and quality
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed Journeyman Plumber in the state of New York, Onondaga County
Minimum of three years of experience in commercial plumbing as a journeyman
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, SOW, contracts and specifications
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Must be able to pass federal and state mandated background checks
