Who We Are
HII - Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV.
What You Will Do
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements.
- Determine project schedule by consulting with subject matter experts; studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems;
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
- Define, generate, and review project requirements documentation.
- Monitor project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Ensure that project management and organizational processes are followed.
- Prepare briefs and present to multiple levels within participating organizations.
- Other tasking as designated by supervisor.
What You Must Have
- 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for applicable work experience.
- Experience managing complex project plans.
- Experience working in a government contracting environment.
- Be self-motivated and show a driven desire to succeed with minimal direction.
- Proven ability to work both in a team and individually.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
- Must have had an active DoD Top Secret Clearance within the last 24 months, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in both traditional PM and Agile environments
- Experience working in a Joint Simulation Environment (JSE)
- Understand the full software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in software engineering tools
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Certification in Project/Program Management (e.g. PMP, PgMP, etc.)
- Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, and/or MS Project
Physical Requirements
May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment.
