About the team: 

You will be working on the Merchant Fraud and Disputes team, developing cloud-based software providing value-added service for our clients.   Our team is primarily responsible for creating a proprietary merchant disputes processing application, tying together network disputes processing across global payment systems.  

We are a global team with resources across the US, Europe, and India, and there is plenty of room for opportunity and growth. This position will have fully remote capabilities.

What you will be doing:
As a Software Engineering Leader you will work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

  • Mentor and lead the development team by defining and organizing work and helping the team address challenges. Serving as the main resource and SME for the team.

  • Take responsibility for providing development and ongoing maintenance and support of complex Java applications and developing enhancements to applications supported for our clients.

  • Interacting with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across the various stages of the SDLC.

  • Learning new technologies and remain up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in order to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead the team in developing secure and high-quality production of code by reviewing and debugging the teams code.

What you will need:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.  Commensurate amount of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • At least 7 years proven experience as a software developer with a minimum of 5 years Java development.

  • At least 2 years of experience leading development teams, mentoring and leading junior developers.

  • Experience in designing and constructing large-scale systems in Java

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience with AWS, setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $123,810.00 - $207,980.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
