Job Duties
The Information Technology Services Unit provides technology planning and support to the Department to help ensure the successful accomplishment of the Department’s mission. Position provides first level technical support for the Department of Correction’s user community by phone and email. This includes logging and documenting all inquiries reported to the ITU Help Desk, with the goal of resolving technology concerns on first contact and escalating to next level support as necessary. Provides remote technical assistance and support related to network resources, computer systems, hardware, printers, software, Agency specific applications, UCaaS and wireless phones. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determine and implement solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires considerable corrections experience with a working knowledge of technology and business process planning, to develop and implement security software systems. Requires high functional experience in computers, MS-Office, power platform, security system administration of Axon, IP camera, and LPRs. Experience prioritizing multiple projects, analyzing and resolving complex infrastructure, planning and implementation challenges. Experience with system administration, networking, infrastructure, project planning and cloud experience is required. 25% or more travel required.
Additional Considerations
Project management experience. Corrections experience with VMS systems.
Power BI experience. DCJS or AXON Certification
