About the role

The Company

Our client is a market leader in their field; due to growth they are now looking to recruit and IT Support Technician to work on a full-time permanent basis.

The Role

* You will deliver effective IT support across all aspects of the business and will provide back up and support to managers on a wide range of IT related projects.

* The person will be responsible for the smooth running of day-to-day IT operations, duties will include:

* Resolve and escalate IT incidents and change requests.

* Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the network.

* Perform regular system maintenance and updates.

* Daily checks and maintenance procedures such as ensuring backups have been completed.

* Assist with new starters/leavers and support desk moves such as PCs and phones.

* Raise external support calls with key suppliers when required.

* Complete IT projects set by management and assist other departments where an IT presence is required.

The Person

* Previous similar experience in an IT role.

* Demonstratable experience in the engineering/manufacturing industry would be beneficial.

* Excellent decision making and attention to detail skills.

* Positive, proactive and dynamic look for solutions to problems and ways to improve.

* Remain flexible in an ever-changing environment.
