Position Purpose: This position will provide direct leadership to the Software Support Team. This position is responsible for maintaining business software systems, security, and performance monitoring. Work with the IT Director, IT Network Manager, Reporting / Analytics Supervisor, and Help Desk personnel to ensure proper computer operations so that end users can accomplish business tasks.

 

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior professional experience as a software programmer and/or analyst required.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks.
  • Experience with software support operations, metrics, and business productivity applications.
  • Experience with application programming, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and software training.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex instructions (written, oral, diagram, or schedule).
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management, employees, and vendors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Patience and skill in instructing users to resolve technical issues.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service focus.
  • Must be emotionally and medically able to perform essential job responsibilities and free from active or infectious diseases.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Investigates, develops, and monitors solutions to enhance utilization of computer resources for end users (e.g., automated progress notes, templates, etc.).
2. Bring ITIL and Agile concepts to the team and projects we manage.
3. Analyze, develop, test, and implement segments of automated systems.
4. Recommend, initiate, and implement system changes/enhancements.
5. Provide user support for software and hardware issues.
6. Plan, schedule, oversee, and maintain deliverables from the SDLC through deployment, ensuring deadlines are met.
7. Provide expertise on technical decisions, perform code and configuration reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.
8. Collaborate with other IT Teams to develop and scale end-to-end solutions.
9. Develop quality control criteria, profile reports, error control criteria, and various system queries (generic and specific).
10. Evaluate and implement robust technology solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.
11. Monitors system operations to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
12. Troubleshoot, resolve, and document system/data issues.
13. Maintain data integrity when integrated with other vendor/collaborator software.
14. Coordinate training efforts for effective and efficient best practice use of software.
15. Manage software upgrades.
16. Maintain documentation of all software systems utilization and deployments
17. Collaborate with clients, upper management, and other staff to determine requirements, manage expectations, provide progress reports, and communicate options where appropriate.
18. Work hours prescribed by the Assistant IT Director and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
19. Exhibit actions and make decisions that align with the Rosecrance Code of Conduct and within the framework of the law.
20. Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings, duties, and activities as assigned.
21. Serve as a role model to others and demonstrate excellent company stewardship.
