Position Overview

The UNT System Information Technology Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an IT Security Analyst I to join our team. The holder of this position will be a member of the UNT System Security Operations team which provides support and oversight for cybersecurity operations of UNT System Administration and all UNT System campuses. This position provides support for security tools, triage and analysis of security events, assists with risk assessment and audits, and provides system administration services. Candidates must possess good problem-solving skills. This position may require occasional on call duties, including being available to respond to critical incidents or emergencies outside of regular business hours. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director Security Operations. This is a security sensitive position.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and two (2) years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Employees in this job may be responsible for conducting research on, working on, or having the ability to access critical organizational infrastructure and they must be able to maintain the security and integrity of the infrastructure related to this role.
