Position Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of technology and application-related projects from initiation through implementation and transition to support. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. The IT Project Manager II leads scope, schedule, cost, internal resourcing, vendor coordination, risk management, and quality standards while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
This position is designed to reduce project load and disruption on the IT Applications team by providing strong project leadership, structured planning, and disciplined execution—allowing applications resources to remain focused on solution delivery rather than day-to-day project orchestration. SAP experience is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead medium-to-large, cross-functional IT application projects across corporate and operational environments.
- Drive project outcomes with minimal oversight, balancing independence with collaborative execution.
- Establish clear project goals, success metrics, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure structured handoffs to support teams and business owners at project close.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource plans, and integrated schedules.
- Manage project scope, timeline, cost, dependencies, and change control.
- Identify tradeoffs, recommend options, and secure decisions to keep projects moving.
- Track and forecast project spend, vendor costs, and internal effort.
- Coordinate internal applications resources to avoid full-team project saturation where feasible.
- Create work plans that sequence functional SMEs effectively and reduce unnecessary context switching.
- Identify resource constraints early and escalate with proposed solutions.
- Facilitate project meetings, steering checkpoints, and executive updates.
- Provide clear, concise status reporting on milestones, risks, issues, and financials.
- Promote alignment across IT, HR, Finance, Operations, Safety, and Field Leadership.
- Manage third-party vendors, implementation partners, and software providers.
- Oversee contractual deliverables, statements of work, and project-related compliance.
- Validate vendor performance against milestones, quality standards, and budget expectations.
- Identify, mitigate, and monitor project risks and issues throughout the lifecycle.
- Integrate quality measures, testing plans, and readiness checklists into project execution.
- Partner with change management, training, and business leaders to support adoption.
- Maintain working knowledge of enterprise applications, integration concepts, and data flows.
- Support projects involving ERP and core business platforms; SAP exposure strongly preferred.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and IT standards.

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
