Position Overview
Align is seeking an entry level IT Infrastructure Project Analyst in our New York office who will work with a great team and develop the skills and experience to grow into an IT Infrastructure Project Manager. Our Workplace Technology Solution provides IT Transformation, Advisory and Integration services. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent college graduate or entry level candidate. Candidates must be hands on, mechanically inclined, technically savvy, and familiar with IT Infrastructure concepts. This role will be a combination of pre-sales support and hands-on project coordination for IT Workplace Technology Transformation projects. You will perform the physical installation and configuration of equipment related to office technology build outs. Our work encompasses low voltage cable design, AV design and integration services, physical security design, integration, and advisory, design, integration and support for data networking and Wi-Fi. This should be a hands-on individual with strong communication and organizational skills that is aspiring to start their career path to being an IT Infrastructure Project Manager or IT Business Development professional.
This Person will:
- Perform hands-on equipment and IT infrastructure installation and configuration for Wi-Fi, Physical Security Solutions and AV
- Assist with project management tasks through all aspects of project including meetings, scheduling, task coordination, vendor management, communications, and documentation
- Support pre-sales activities including estimating, proposals, pricing, RFP responses. This will include working on business development activities and assisting with pre-sales documentation, communication, coordination, and follow up
Position Details:
- The Project Analyst will be based in our New York City office; however, this person will be required to travel to and work at client locations in the New York Metropolitan area, this person should expect to be onsite 5 days a week, and occasional travel (up to 10 percent) may be required
- This is a full-time position offering a salary in the $55K to $80K range (based on experience), comprehensive benefits, paid training, additional compensation
Responsibilities
- Work with project managers to help support the successful delivery of Workplace Technology solutions including hands-on IT equipment installation, troubleshooting, documentation, communication and coordinating project tasks
- Work on business development activities as needed and provide pre-sales support under the direction of a Workplace Technology Solutions Architect, including estimating, gathering information, proposal writing, sales process support, and RFP follow up
- Leverage strong writing, analytical and MS Office documentation skills to create professional documentation in support of the pre-sales process
- Perform various administrative and follow up tasks to support the pre-sales and business development efforts within the Workplace Technology Team
- Complete various tasks, physical installation, technology configuration, and project coordination duties related to all aspects of workplace technology, including audiovisual (AV) systems, workplace management solutions, smart office environmental controls, digital signage and IP television, and a large variety of other technologies
- Hands on responsibilities will include installing IP Cameras, Sensors, Monitors, and IoT devices related Integrated Physical Security/Access Control, AV, Smart Office, and Workplace Management systems
- Responsible for learning and working alongside Project Managers on all levels of an engagement, including proposal development, client administration, scheduling, attending meetings, documenting follow up, tracking tasks, and overseeing deliverables
