Ensure availability of IT Infrastructure by way of guaranteed up-time for Hardware, Networking &
applications. Spearhead IT helpdesk under SLA arrangement with user groups.
To perform work of routine difficulty in the provision of technical support of PC hardware, Software, and
Network activities in Microsoft environment; Install, Configure, and troubleshoot PC hardware and
software issues; assist users of personal computers in resolving daily operational and/or technical
problems.
Maintaining, configuring and ensuring availability of Audio Visual, Telecommunication equipment in the
organization.

 Maintenance of PC Hardware, Networking (LAN),
File & Print services, Email, Intranet & Internet,
Software and other peripheral related problems
 Creating user groups and accounts, assigning
permissions, managing auditing, security and providing
general help to the users for corrective action if user
in the area of hardware and networking
 Ensuring the smooth running of all IT systems
through proper documenting procedures and
policies
 Managing crisis situations, which may involve
complex technical hardware or software problems.
 Monitors network usage, network security and integrity;
troubleshoots network bottlenecks or failed connections
in routers, switches or concentrators. Responsible for
recovery of the network
 Timely backup of routine data as per defined backup
procedure.

 To monitor Virus definitions are up-to date
 Protect and secure IT resources from external &
internal threat

 To ensure that all printers and MFD equipments
are working properly at HO and sites.
 Follow up AMC contracts.

 Tracking all the leased line/RF connections
proactively.
 Liaising with all telecom vendors for service
availability and to enforce S.L.A.
 Configuration of EPABX & End-user devices
 Maintaining/Configuring remote connection tools
like Data Card, Signify & GMOP

 Uploading of all reports suggested/asked by
Group time to time
 Maintaining & Tracking application licenses on all
IT resources

 Managing DHCP & File Server

advising appropriate solution.

V. AUTHORITY
(To which extent the jobholder may take decision or action in relation with the job function, without
asking prior approval to the superior)
1. Authorization by IT Manager
2. Position may call IT vendors to get the consumables in the absence of IT Manager and paper
approvals can be done later or approval can be taken over phone.
VI. COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB / JOB RELATIONS

 Diagnoses user problems and questions, addressing the most complex problems for system
most critical to the state. (Critical means those system with significant time constraints).
Problem solving some times requires coordination with multiple vendors.
 Managing crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software
problems.
 As the expert, helps other staff to solve problems and deal with major system crashes.
 Plans and schedules installations considering timing, version compatibility and other factors.
Installations typically involve new products, patches and updates or significant changes, such
as overall system hardware upgrades.
 Resolve end user problem as per the calls received in e-support application and update users
on progress and closure of the call in e-support application.
