IT Infrastructure Technician

The IT Technician works under close supervision, while playing a key role in the expansion and support of technology functions throughout company facilities, as well is responsible for the administration and maintenance of company-wide IT infrastructure; and providing a high level of support to all onsite and remote team members.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all communication devices throughout all facilities are in proper working order, on a regular basis, including conference rooms, workstations, training rooms, etc.
- Provide A/V support for events. Demonstrate to end-user proper operation of A/V equipment and ensuring the end-user is comfortable with the A/V environment.
- Maintain and monitor all IT rooms including but not limited to MDF’s IDF’s IT storage rooms and ensure proper operation of all devices.
- Provide hardware, software, and telecom technical support to company team members when necessary.
- Provide technical care for any aspect of the information systems unit including system hardware, operating systems, applications, and network infrastructure while maintaining proper communication to stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal customers to identify problem, gather information, and utilize support tools/additional support staff as needed.
- Support for company and IT-dependent events.
- Provide support for other peripheral equipment such as printers, scanners, copiers, and audio-visual systems throughout the facility.
- Participate in planning, installation, implementation, configuration, modification of equipment and software.
- Manage and track company workstations; keep inventory of all IT equipment, re-order as needed.
- Participate in internal, departmental, and enterprise-wide projects.
- Other duties assigned as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, event planning or related fields.
- Experience in event planning from small to large scale events.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing technological landscapes and organizational needs.
- Innovative thinking to develop and implement effective IT solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Experience with bulk or business-to-business purchasing.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Ability to create clear and concise documentation for IT policies, procedures, and user manuals.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrate ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including an ability to articulate ideas and clearly and appropriately influence others.
- Basic LAN knowledge and configuration.
- Familiarity with PC/MacOS, iPhone, iPad, Android devices.
- Microsoft Windows Server using Active Directory knowledge.
- DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP & other network protocols knowledge.
- Microsoft Exchange, Office365, Zoom, Cloud applications knowledge.
- Project management experience is preferred, including planning and executing IT projects.
- A/V technical knowledge (video recording, Crestron, webinars, Zoom, Neat & Logitech, OBS virtual camera, Polycom, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to plan, organize and document complex systems while complying with current policies and procedures.
Preferred
- Knowledge of Okta.
- IT experience in a mid-sized business preferred.
