The Infrastructure team at StubHub builds and maintains the infrastructure that our business runs on. As an Infrastructure Engineer you'll be responsible for the planning and execution of projects that will support business growth, improve security, observability, resiliency, or open up new capabilities for our technology teams and our customers. The role will focus on establishing excellence in our corporate, QA, and production infrastructure environments which are currently hosted both on-prem, and in the Azure cloud.
This role will be based in our New York, NY office and has a hybrid (3 in-person days per week) work schedule. What You'll Do- Work with the Security and Engineering teams to maintain and execute an infrastructure roadmap for upcoming quarters
- Assist in planning and completing migrations of on-premises resources to their SAAS/PAAS/IAAS equivalents
- Assist with the build out and maintenance of the infrastructure that supports our production environment (on prem datacenter and Azure cloud)
- Establish and rollout best practices for automation of infrastructure deployments and management
- Support the IT Helpdesk and Incident Management functions, sitting in the escalation path for any critical infrastructure incidents
- Administer, maintain, and optimize our fleet of Hyper-V hosts, as well as their converged and backend infrastructure (e.g., Storage Spaces Direct, networking...)
- Provide transparency into the performance of our infrastructure systems and incidents
- Provide production site support, ensuring critical systems remain highly available
- Help grow and mentor other members of the IT and Infrastructure teams

- Microsoft Azure features: Virtual Machines, AD Connect, Bastion, Enterprise Applications, App Registrations, AZ File Shares, BLOB Containers, AZ Backup and Cloud networking (VPN,VNets, NSGs, Express Route, Gateways...)
- Cisco networking and VPN configurations, routers, switches, access points and wireless access controllers
- Cisco Firepower Threat Defense and Firepower management Center
- F5 Load Balancers
- Aruba Access Points and Aruba Cloud Centra
What You've Done:
- 3+ years of relevant technical experience, working in a systems/network administration role having successfully delivered multiple infrastructure related projects, including prior success delivering infrastructure-related projects spanning weeks to months
- Excellent knowledge of Hyper-V
- Excellent knowledge of the Azure infrastructure stack and some of its main infrastructure related features
- Strong automation skills (PowerShell), and a desire to eliminate manual toil
- Great understanding of Active Directory, experience managing hundreds of users and multiple sites
- Great understanding of Windows features such as DNS, DC, DHCP and Group Policy
- Solid understanding of Office 365, Exchange Online , SharePoint Online, and Azure AD
- Experience in triaging incidents, spotting patterns, and establishing projects to eliminate ongoing issues
- Ability to design, present, and execute migration, upgrade, and new implementation plans
- Cisco device expert at installing and configuring core networking including routing, switching, ACLs, VLANs, S2S VPNs, and P2S VPNs
- Strong network security troubleshooting skills including load balancers, proxies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN client communications, and vendor VPN communications
- Solid understanding of routing protocols and network topologies such as BGP, EGRIP, MPLS, VPLS, BFD, HSRP...
- AZ Networking including network topologies and components (e.g., NSGs, Gateways, VNets, Hub-spoke...)
- Prior experience managing an internal certificate authority infrastructure a plus
- Prior experience deploying infrastructure as code a plus
