Job Description

Job Summary

Gain practical experience and exposure to the professional world whole providing a broad understanding of various aspects of our organization and industry and allow participants to contribute to real projects and tasks.

As an intern at Stewart, you will have access to work on real-world projects, gain insights from mentors and leaders throughout the organization, and can participate in social and community events to enhance the experience – ultimately providing you with tools to support your transition from college to professional life. Our Summer Internship program runs June 2 – August 8, 2025.

During the internship, you will:  

  • Catalog current workloads in the cloud and correlating Backlog management/source repos + teams/SharePoint sites.
  • Work with the team to develop Knowledge Base Article for publishing in Service Now
  • Participate in an Agile work methodology where work is committed and performed in two-week sprints
  • Document Infrastructure as Code deployment processes as executed through Terraform Scripts
  • Participate in the planning, execution and build documentation for the backup and recovery processes for cloud native applications
  • Consolidate & centralize documentation for Stewart’s Cloud practice to publish to the IT division; naming conventions, tagging requirements, role-based access control, commonly used technologies for enterprise re-use, required settings for a handful of technologies
  • Work with IT architects & engineers to define common requirement templates for application design blue prints and deployments
  • Work on performing reporting of cloud infrastructure to identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assist in the review of Microsoft Azure management and security reports for various alerts and notifications. 
  • Support the development of monitoring dashboards including metrics related to operational and security aspects
  • Help identify summary operational and management reports, and schedule automated reports for various stakeholders
  • Be assigned projects that help to deliver on customer outcomes and identify business improvements
  • Be supported by a mentor, your manager, various business leaders, and the Human Resources team, all of whom will ensure you have a valuable learning experience
  • Receive coaching and direct support and feedback to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop skills in your functional area of focus
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interns to inform your project(s)
  • Learn internal processes, systems, and other industry-related information 

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s level degree program
  • Be located in Houston, TX for duration of summer program
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the passion and energy to leave your mark
  • Have the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization
  • Be adept at handling a changing workload and intaking a high volume of information
  • Have a passion for seeking out process enhancements or solutions and simultaneously delivering on your current project workload
  • Be results-oriented, innovative, collaborative, analytical, hands-on, inquisitive, a quick learner, proactive, and have excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
  • Be extremely organized and atten
