IT Asset Maintenance Assistant

GA-CCRi maintains and deploys production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial industry. We build and develop best-in-class all domain and globally focused situational awareness capabilities that process petabytes of data from numerous streaming data sources in near real time. Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich live view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground. These analytics are designed to determine not just where something is, but what it is, where it's been and what it's doing. All of this "data to knowledge" is made available to end users in our own browser-based application for visualization, analysis, and understanding. Job Description:
- Under general supervision, this position is responsible for administering software and/or hardware asset life cycle management activities.
- Performs physical audits and software license reviews to ensure compliance with product usage agreements and align with current business needs.
- Analyzes usage data and prepares periodic and special purpose reports.
Essential Functions
- Administers software and/or hardware asset life cycle management activities for organization software/technology-related hardware assets, owned and managed in the Information Technology department, other organization business units or third-party service providers.
- Maintains the IT asset management database, including input, update and connection of data for software and/or hardware assets in relation to requisition, procurement, deployment, maintenance and retirement.
- Labels and tracks physical assets.
- Relocates physical assets as required to meet business needs.
- Updates documentation as directed to ensure accuracy of department processes.
- Performs basic software installation tasks.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proficiency in general office software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with a large team to achieve business objectives.
Ability to work onsite between 2 and 4 days per week and commit to a consistent 16-20 hours per week.
Willingness and ability to do moderate physical labor, including safely lifting up to 40 pounds
Software installation skills (Windows and/or Linux) are a plus.
Desired Skills:
Good understanding of common IT hardware assets including workstations, laptops, monitors, UPS’s, data and power cables, and other peripherals, and how they connect.

*This position is a temporary 10-week contract.
