Dow has an exciting opportunity for multiple ISC Business Capability Directors. These roles will lead our Order/Customer Service, Logistics and Site Logistics, Data and Analytics, Reporting and Metrics and Digital Enablement business process capabilities. These positions can be located at any of our current ISC regional locations (Midland, MI (US), Sao Paulo (Brazil), Shanghai (China), Terneuzen (Netherlands) or Mumbai (India).

The ISC Improve & Scale digital solutions team provides business capability management in alignment with corporate, business, and functional strategies and partners across ISC, globally and regionally, to drive continuous improvement and scale digital solutions, driving value for Dow.
About you and this role
The ISC Business Capability Director defines work process and system solutions, including strategy and design, through collaboration with global peers, regional teams, business, and functional stakeholders for an end-to-end sub-process within Integrated Supply Chain. You will ensure work process and system solutions meet global requirements and are effectively implemented and supported, enabling an easy, effective, and enjoyable experience for our customers. You will be accountable for delivery, functional excellence, overall cost of ownership and long-term maintenance requirements, inclusive of the process, systems, technologies, applications, and data. You will manage business and functional relationships to generate and/or initiate value-add capabilities. You will bring together corporate, business, and functional strategies to define the specific business process capability strategy and roadmap, and then navigate and lead the delivery through collaboration with functional (IT, Finance, Commercial) and business stakeholders to achieve desired results. You will ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements and ensure training, support and design enhancements are maintained for strategic solutions utilized by our partners and stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving complex operational and organizational problems, leveraging appropriate resources within or outside your discipline.
This position reports directly to the Global Improve & Scale Director and is a member of the Improve & Scale Leadership team and Business Process Network. You will interface with leaders across ISC and other functions (IT, Commercial). To be successful, you will need to inspire, persuade, and influence other leaders to act, as well as maintain relationships with external service providers and vendors. You will lead people leaders and professionals and will be required to understand key business drivers and factors to maximize department performance.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction to a global team of subject matter experts, to deliver against design, delivery, and improvement expectations, enabling global functional and business requirements.
- Collaborates with multiple functional and business stakeholders to ensure functional excellence in run the business operations, monitors performance to identify gaps and improvement opportunities and delivery of strategic initiatives and projects.
- Owns and leads the investment strategy, plan, and process for the respective business capability in collaboration with business and functional partners as well as other business capability, process and technology directors and overall Process Owners (L1 and L2)
- Orchestrates a portfolio of projects primarily targeting a one-to-three-year time horizon, but balanced with early stage value delivery through scale of proof-of-concepts and pilots as well as implementation projects supporting the strategic roadmap.
