Job Description

To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and professional Room Service.

Responsibilities

• Must have complete knowledge of service time, menu, and any specials.
• Prepare, deliver, and service orders.
• Always inquire if additional service is needed.
• Responsible for each check.
• Responsible for pick-up tables and trays.
• Responsible for set-up, delivery and presentation of VIP amenity.
• Must consult with supervisor on any food pick-up difficulty.
• Complete all side work duties as assigned.
• Attend all designated staff meetings and training session
• Any other task as assigned by management

 

 

Tools and Equipment:

• Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine
• Walk-in refrigerator, Room Service tables, and hot box.
•  

Working Environment:

• Interior of hotel, in the restaurant, kitchen and guestroom.  Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals.
• Exposure to food items and beverages.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Enthusiastic and friendly with a positive attitude
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior food and beverage experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 30 lbs
• Must have valid ServSafe and Tips Certification or can obtain such valid certification prior to working
• Can walk and stand for the duration of the 8-10 hour shift
