The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is seeking a IP- Fossil Conservation Intern for our Research & Collections, Invertebrate Paleontology department. The IP- Fossil Conservation Intern works closely with the Curator, Invertebrate Paleontology in fossil preparation and conservation at the Natural History Museum. It is an exciting time as we embark on new journeys of becoming a museum of, for, and with L.A.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Fossil preparation and conservation.
Fossil curation, cataloging, and digitization.
Attendance and participation in enrichment activities, including museum seminars, workshops, tours, and other professional development and training.
Other duties as assigned by the MANAGER and as department needs.
This position has the following requirements:
Incumbent is expected to be currently enrolled as a full-time student at a Los Angeles area high school.

The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is seeking applicants who have demonstrated experience and commitment working with a diverse community. Hourly rate for this position is $20.00 plus excellent benefits. This is a Part-time temporary, non-exempt position.
