We’re currently looking for a Solutions Architect – Mobile Applications (will consider remote candidates with willingness to travel when required to HQ - Franklin, T and work Central Time hours).
The Senior Enterprise Architect (EA) establishes and maintains the Nissan Digital Technology Stack (DTS) and associated architectural patterns, is an active member in the Enterprise Review Board (ERB) meetings, and supports peers within Nissan Digital as needed to solve business problems with digital capabilities and solutions. The EA will guide the application development teams in building solutions that are well designed, standards based, secure, robust and with focus on operational excellence. The EA will support the activities of application development, infrastructure, network, storage, application security, integration, Software and product evaluation, and data/analytics. In addition, the EA will be familiar with the existing digital landscape to drive the teams in the decisions regarding reuse, make or buy. The EA is considered a senior level individual contributor and is expected to present technology solutions to business management and executives using language appropriate to the audience.
Job Functions include but not limited to the following
- Establishes Standards and Best Practices: Develop and maintain standards and best practices for the enterprise mobile landscape to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability across all mobile applications.
- Creates Reference Architecture Patterns: Design and update reference architecture patterns to serve as blueprints for mobile solutions, fostering reusability and efficiency in development.
- Participates in ERB Architecture Review Sessions: Provide valuable feedback and approval for architecture proposals in Enterprise Review Board (ERB) sessions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and objectives.
- Audits Compliance: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture standards, identifying areas for improvement and adherence to guidelines and policies.
- Promotes Operational Excellence: Drive the implementation of stable, supportable solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements, promoting operational excellence.
- Educates and Transfers Knowledge: Conduct information-sharing sessions (e.g., lunch & learn) to educate and transfer knowledge within IS/IT, fostering continuous learning and improvement.
- Stays Abreast of Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with current IT trends and developments, evaluating their applicability to Nissan and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Seeks Innovative Solutions: Explore innovative solutions through evaluation and proof of concepts, determining compatibility with current and future architectural standards and business requirements.
- Aligns Business Initiatives: Assist in aligning business and enterprise initiatives with Enterprise Architecture, ensuring technology solutions support business objectives and strategies.
- Partners with Senior IS/IT Leaders: Collaborate with senior IS/IT leaders to develop technology roadmaps and strategies, fostering alignment and collaboration.
- Coaches and Mentors: Provide guidance and review designs of junior architects to ensure alignment with Nissan’s architecture, legal, compliance, and security standards.
- Serves as a Technology Leader: Leverage knowledge of various technologies and platforms to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence across Nissan Digital.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Min 10 years of total IT experience with at least 5 years of current mobile app development experience.
- Must have experience with Native app development on iOS and/or Android platforms
- Full stack development experience
- Min 5 years of experience in architecting and building complex systems.
- Deep understanding of cloud, cloud-nat
