IOP Program Assistant

Position Summary:
The IOP Program Assistant provides essential behavioral and administrative support for children participating in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role is responsible for supporting group sessions, coordinating care for assigned clients, maintaining program materials, and assisting the clinical team with case management and program operations.

This position is part-time and 20 hours per week. The schedule is as follows: Monday 1:30pm- 5:30pm, Tuesday 2:30pm-6:30pm, Wednesday 1:30pm- 5:30pm, Thursday 1:30pm- 5:30pm and Friday 1:00pm- 5:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support clinicians and program staff by assisting children in group sessions, ensuring adherence to program rules and safety protocols.
• Prepare weekly reports for IOP staff, including lists of clients scheduled to meet with the psychiatrist.
• Maintain accurate client records by filing collateral information and tracking weekly group activities.
• Manage supplies and ensure group materials are available and organized.
• Coordinate with previous treatment providers to obtain necessary documentation and releases.
• Provide individualized support to children during crises or as needed.
• Conduct case management and collateral contacts for assigned caseload, ensuring timely documentation.
• Participate in team supervision, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support smooth program operations.
• Maintain regular attendance and fulfill responsibilities reliably.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services related field required.
  • One year of experience in a setting serving children and adolescents with mental, behavioral or special education needs in a paraprofessional position is preferred.  
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft 365. Must be able to navigate through electronic health records system (EHR).
