Description

Summary:  Performs assigned clerical tasks accurately and efficiently.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Maintains parts/supply information, including entering new parts in database.
  2. Manages ordering of parts in an efficient and timely manner.
  3. Follows up on emergency orders in a timely manner.
  4. Enters purchase orders into computer system on a daily basis. 
  5. Helps manage reorder points to avoid unnecessary freight costs.
  6. Receives, tags, and stocks parts on a daily basis.
  7. Conducts inventory cycle counts on an ongoing basis.
  8. Provides clerical support to Maintenance Department as needed.
  9. Adheres to all GMP and QC policies when in the plant and surrounding environments.
  10. Updates inventory sign-out sheet and back-up inventory. Makes adjustments when necessary. 
  11. Handle’s day-to-day inventory responsibilities while maintaining accurate inventory.
  12. Provides parts support to the various departments.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous food manufacturing experience and a good familiarization with maintenance materials & parts preferred.  

• Strong communication abilities, written and verbal.

• Good mathematical, statistical and analytical abilities.

• Knowledge of shipping practices and policies with common carriers (FedEx, UPS, etc.).

• Ability to drive a forklift.

• Aptitude to work with maintenance MRO & inventory software.


Education and/or Experience Required

• High School Diploma/GED

• Valid Drivers License.
