This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day inventory control functions, coaching and providing feedback to shipping/receiving associates, training new associates about inventory control practices and corresponding as needed regarding inventory shortages or damages.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for organizing the daily workload

  • Utilizes appropriate technology and tools to facilitate inventory control activities, cycle counts, warehouse activity monitor, SAP reports, RF scanner and bar coding

  • Completes daily cycle counts by performing initial & secondary counts, researching and validating all inventory variances, causes for follow-up actions and reviewing the weekly inventory adjustments reports with manager 

  • Handles all scrap and obsolete inventory disposal by verifying, picking and disposing of damaged or obsolete inventory

  • Handles all return to vendor shipments by picking, packing and verification of the shipment 

  • Manages the PO discrepancy process by reviewing all reported shortages, overages and damages. Works with purchasing for resolution 

  • Other duties as assigned

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Greensboro, NC

  • Work week and shift: 6am-2:30pm (M-F) + opportunity for overtime

  • Compensation package offered: $25 / HR

  • Sign on Bonus: $1,500

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • One year of experience performing cycle counts and using SAP

  • One year of standup forklift experience

  • Computer/software skills which include MS Office Suite

  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience troubleshooting and investigating inventory variances in SAP

  • Proficiency with inventory applications, RF handheld computers and bar coding 

  • Experience creating, editing or manipulating data in spreadsheets (Excel) and communicating that data verbally or in written form

  • Excellent communication and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
