About the role

We are currently hiring 1 full-time Student Intern for a 4-month Fall internship from September to December 2024. This Intern will report to the Enterprise Data Office team

 

Here’s an example of how you’ll make an impact:

 

• Provide assistance in a wide range of activities related to the design, development, implementation, maintenance and maturity of CMHC's data quality and data governance program.
• Assist with the identification and documentation of data quality issues, working with the Data Governance team to determine root causes and business impacts. 
• Provide support to more senior colleagues on the design and update of data quality rules using as inputs data defects, business rules and data governance policies.                                         
• Support more senior colleagues to validate data quality requirements are complete, consistent and achievable; and ensure decisions are documented.                                        
• Support the design and implementation of data quality metrics, scorecards and monitoring dashboards.                                            
• Support data governance advisors on the classification of data in a security and privacy context and help prioritize data related risks with the Data Governance team and stakeholders.

 

 What you need to succeed:   

 

• Currently enrolled or recent graduate in a post-secondary institution in a related discipline such as computer science, information systems or a related field (ex: Information Management, Business Analytics). 
• A previous experience and knowledge of various aspects of Information Management at the enterprise level (data governance, data quality, master data management, reference data management, information life cycle, etc.). The experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
