📅 Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (Tuesday–Friday)
Your Role
As a Veterinary Technician in Internal Medicine, you’ll be a key player in patient care and client communication. You’ll oversee appointments, support Dr. Picard, and take an active role in diagnostics and treatments—from venipuncture and lab work to anesthetic monitoring and advanced imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage appointments and collaborate directly with Dr. Picard
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatments
- Obtain and process laboratory samples
- Perform medical calculations and administer medications
- Utilize advanced imaging: digital radiology, CT scans, and ultrasound
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthetic or sedated procedures
- Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures
We’re seeking a technician who is:
- Experienced: Minimum 2 years as a Veterinary Technician in a hospital setting
- Credentialed: CVT required; VTS certification is a bonus
- Skilled: Proficient in venipuncture, anesthetic monitoring, drug calculations, and imaging techniques
- Knowledgeable: Strong understanding of common diseases, treatment plans, and client education
- Collaborative: Able to work independently and in a team, while leading by example
- Adaptable: Flexible, dependable, detail-oriented, and a master of time management
- Positive: Committed to fostering a respectful, uplifting, and supportive hospital culture
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role”
