Stark Medical Specialties is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Medicine Biller to join our team. Looking for an individual who has experience in Nextgen or Medent computer software.

Stark Medical Specialties is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Medicine Biller to join our team. Looking for an individual who has experience in Nextgen or Medent computer software.
Responsibilities:
- Daily duties include working the AR and denials.
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for patients.
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
- Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals to ensure maximum reimbursement.
- Stay updated on relevant billing regulations and coding guidelines.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of billing and documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in medical billing is preferred
- Minimum of [2] years of experience in medical billing, is preferred
- Proficient knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Understanding of medical coding systems, such as CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
- Payment posting
- Charge posting
- Knowledge of EOBs
- Familiarity with insurance claim forms and reimbursement processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
