The Job:
As an Internal Communications Coordinator you’ll be part of our Corporate Team. Responsible for driving critical coordination across our team and communication throughout the organization. This role will support the launch and roll-out of SPX to manufacturing sites and the broader global supply chain organization. Including communication strategy for SPX, training initiatives, and standards ensuring everyone has the information they need to stay informed, engaged and aligned. Be involved in developing and executing the communications plans for SPX including regular posts of training material or content updates on internal social channels, recurring newsletter creation, design and creation of single-point-lessons for site huddle meetings- ensuring the messages and communications are effective for desk and non-desk employees. You’ll get to:
*Be a change agent for Stanley Performance Excellence and develop appropriate communications of SPX successes and resources
*Work across the SPX team to understand the current priorities of the team and communication opportunities
* Partner with broader internal communications team to create and adapt the communications strategy for SPX to be up to date and relevant
* Develop materials for internal social channels and maintain social channel pages and areas for SPX (e.g., Staffbase posts, Teams Channel management, email and newsletter creation) and develop site communication (e.g., 1-page explainer documents, content for site TV communication)
*Maintain a calendar to ensure consistent, aligned internal messaging
*Measure and track effectiveness and impact of communication using feedback and metrics to continuously improve communications
*Coordinate with OpX teams to ensure clear messaging of Operational Excellence initiatives
*Develop and maintain core narrative for SPX and Operational Excellence at Stanley, Black & Decker
The Person:

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field
3-5 years of experience. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; including storytelling expertise
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. - Multi-channel experience- working across digital, print, live and other formats to reach employees.
- Project management skills and ability manage and hold accountable to a calendar and schedule.
- Hands on experience with Microsoft Teams and experience using an internal communication platform like Staffbase or Workplace.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, global and domestic, travel % may vary based on business needs.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Project/Design Engineer in consumer product industry preferred.
