About the Program:

As a Labcorp intern, you’ll be immersed in hands-on work that complements your academic background. In addition to your project work, you’ll gain valuable exposure to Labcorp’s global business, culture, and leadership through:

Internship Details

• Duration: 11 weeks, full-time

• Dates of Internship: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026

• Location: Charleston, WV

• Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30p

• Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

• Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

About the Team:

• Labcorp’s Women’s Health Specialty Lab in Charleston provides a range of services for clients including cytology gyn and non-gyn/FNA and molecular testing on a variety of sample types

• The testing laboratory is located Charleston, WV and is responsible for all cytology testing for the entire division which encompasses 10 states. We work closely with local schools offering on site rotations for students of MLS programs

Internship Assignment Summary: 

• Intern will shadow and assist in all depts of the lab in both cytology and molecular.

• Work on a project as assigned by the medical director.

• Trained on laboratory assistant procedures to provide hands-on experience with areas including:

  • Receiving/Accessioning of specimens.

  • Processing and staining specimens.

  • Aliquoting sample for molecular testing.

  • Imaging cytolo
