Lonza Pharma & Biotech has an open position for a paid internship as a Reliability Engineer Intern with our Engineering team at our location in Bend, OR. The program duration is for summer 2025 with some flexibility with start dates and end dates to accommodate life and school schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Reliability team with data documentation for the Computerized Maintenance Management System, perform walkdowns to document systems as found conditions, perform spare parts analysis work to determine appropriate spares to stock, review sustainability information for existing assets.
• Work tasks may include: facility walkdowns, developing piping and instrumentation drawings, supplying spreadsheets for mass changes to the CMMS, performing reviews of spare parts for existing assets, documenting sustainability information for existing assets.

Key Requirements:

• Currently enrolled at a college or university or a recent graduate in a Scientific/Engineering field, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering.
• Enthusiastic about the biopharmaceutical industry and learning about industry technology
• Strong Interest in working on multiple projects at once in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail as well as excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required
• Knowledge of 2D CAD, (DraftSight / AutoCAD) a plus
• Displays good problem-solving skills

Our site in Bend, Oregon includes research and development, product and clinical development, and commercial manufacturing for multiple technologies and products. The Bend community sits on the eastern slopes of the cascade mountain range and is home to a plethora of outdoor activities. The Bend site includes multiple buildings throughout town and successful candidate will need their own reliable transportation.
