Intern, R&T - Digital Signal Processing

Overview
The R&T Intern will support the DSP team in the development of sound coding strategies, signal processing features, and research tool development. The scope is broad and includes investigation, implementation, testing, and documentation of various strategies, features, and tools.
This position may also assist in other activities resulting as part of the Projects he/she will support. This position is intended to undergo on the job training as part of the learning experience associated to the internship program.
What you’ll do:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the signal processing and sound coding capabilities in the AB system.
- Draft and execute engineering test plans
- Design, develop, and test modifications to the signal processing features and sound coding strategies.
- Work with technicians and engineers to insure timely execution of project work packages.
- Demonstrate an ability to work within a team and contribute where needed.
- Interdepartmental collaboration with R&D, CPR, or other functional groups.
- Summarize findings in engineering reports and presentations
- Other duties as assigned.
Travelling Requirement: Not required.
What you bring to the team:
Education
- 4 year college/university degree in engineering or physical science
Nice to Have
- Current Masters or PhD student in engineering or related field.
Work Experience
Nice to Have
- Over 6 months (preferred)
