Intern (m/f/d) Software Test Automation

<p><strong>The AI Teams at Agile Robots</strong> are looking for a <strong>Software Test Automation Intern (m/f/d)</strong>, who will build automated tests that catch defects across our applications and services before they reach production.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>UI Test Automation:</strong> Write and maintain automated browser tests using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.</li> <li><strong>API Testing:</strong> Build automated checks for REST endpoints using tools such as Postman/Newman or REST Assured.</li> <li><strong>CI Integration:</strong> Wire automated tests into CI pipelines such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI so failures surface before code merges.</li> <li><strong>Test Suite Structuring:</strong> Organize test suites using frameworks such as Jest, Pytest, or JUnit.</li> <li><strong>Data-Driven Testing:</strong> Parameterize tests so a single test case covers multiple input scenarios.</li> <li><strong>Visual Regression Testing:</strong> Apply tools such as Percy or Applitools to catch unintended visual changes in the interface.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Essential Skills</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>Academic Background:</strong> Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree programme in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li> <li><strong>Programming Fundamentals:</strong> Working familiarity with at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java.</li> <li><strong>Testing Fundamentals:</strong> Basic understanding of core software-testing concepts, including test-case design and regression testing.</li> <li><strong>Bug Reporting:</strong> Documents issues methodically, with clear reproduction steps, in bug reports and test documentation.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Beneficial Skills</strong></h3> <ul> <li><strong>React Experience:</strong> Experience building or testing React applications, including component testing with tools such as React Testing Library.</li> <li><strong>Full-Stack Awareness:</strong> Understanding of how frontend, backend, and database layers interact, to design more meaningful end-to-end tests.</li> <li><strong>Root-Cause Debugging:</strong> Able to read and debug both frontend and backend code to trace a failure to its underlying cause.</li> <li><strong>Backend Familiarity:</strong> Hands-on experience with Python or a backend framework such as Flask, Django, or Express.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h3 cla
