About the Role:

As an intern on the Electrical Engineering team, you will work with a small team of dedicated engineers responsible for the design of Planet’s satellites. You will design PCBs and write test scripts to help bring-up and validate electrical designs for our next generation fleet of satellites going to orbit.

This is a full-time, 12 week internship during the summer and is based in our San Francisco office 5 days per week. 

Impact You'll Own:

• Electrical circuit design
• Schematic Capture
• PCB Layout
• Design test and validation

What You Bring:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering
• Course or Project work
• Circuit analysis with passive components 
• Analog circuits, OpAmp circuit analysis, DC and transient analysis
• Digital logic design
• Lab experience with power supplies and oscilloscopes
• Programming/scripting (Python)

What Makes You Stand Out: 

• Hands on experience with: 
• PCB schematic capture and layout 
• Soldering
• Experience with microcontroller programming and embedded systems

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is listed below.  The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location.  The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

San Francisco Salary Range$35—$35 USD
