The Training Associate (TA) develops and maintains strong, on-going relationships with assigned business partners and acts as the point of escalation and remediation of training issues/concerns. TA clearly articulates and understands Operations Services’ philosophies, programs, and capabilities. TA establishes training based on established procedures determined by the business to ensure consistent workflows and operational practices on a regularly scheduled basis, TA interacts with business partners and Operations Services leadership to discuss strategies, triage demand, and identify opportunities to enhance existing relationships, processes, infrastructure, and technologies to achieve success and alignment with business goals. TA delivers training classes based on required internal qualifications including demonstrated competency in structured programs, ability to consistently deliver ongoing adherence to designed lesson plan content, flow and activities and outcomes/metrics. TA effectively instruct on-site classes, remote classes, and combined classes (on-site and remote).

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned business leaders and teams to understand and identify tactical/strategic training solutions to achieve business outcomes
  • Serve as the relationship manager and single point of contact to assigned business partners to evaluate new training needs, integrate new training programs, and resolve escalated issues/concerns
  • Schedule/maintain/lead standardized and “as needed” meetings with business partners to regularly and openly discuss business needs, training request status and health, learner metrics and performance, and observed trends
  • Act as a consultant and provide recommendations for enhancement and improvement of training programs and proactively identify training opportunities
  • Participate and drive the execution and adoption of training initiatives, new training programs, and technologies
  • Design, develop, and instruct standard, and ad hoc presentations for individuals at all levels of the business
  • Work to improve, enhance, and mature programs
  • Promote training best practices to ensure alignment with Operations Services standards and effective use of resources
  • Build rapport with learners, following principles that support adult learning and business partners’ values; recognize and adapt to varied learning styles
  • Provide feedback to learners and managers; follow-up to ensure successful transition of learners to business areas with achievement of learning objectives, internal training metrics and job performance metrics.
  • Review, analyze post-training surveys, data, reports and metrics to assess effectiveness of and make improvement to their delivery of assigned training programs/curricula. 

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in training and development role.
  • Finance Services industry, LOMA or comparable industry education designations preferred; meaningful experience and expertise working with contact center and in-force administration processes and systems is a plus
  • Broad knowledge of annuity and asset protection disciplines desired.
  • Training certifications such as CPLP or ATD Certifications and demonstrated experience with organizational development is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish credibility with business partners; leverage external and internal resources to drive business outcomes; Recognized by peers and business partners as a training expert in their assigned area(s)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, negotiate/influence, actively listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances, and achieve results
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute in a high demand, fast-paced environment; work through ambiguity and manage multiple priorities and competing demands
  • Strong analytical, observational, and assessment skills; proven ability to gather accurate, useable information through varied methods from disparate sources while working under dynamic timelines and conditions; strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge with designing and facilitating training based on Adult Learning principles and Learner-Centered techniques
  • Demonstrated well-honed presentation skills with individuals at all levels in business, excellent technical writing and proofing skills
