Insurance Billing Team Lead

The Insurance Billing Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day tasks of the billing caseworker team of approximately 8-10 people. This team works collectively with our global team to provide client services including A/R, suspense, collections, invoicing, financial validations. This team is skilled as a universal caseworker to service National and Premier accounts of high complexity, and difficult in nature. The Team Lead will have frequent client facing meetings to address escalations, process updates and communications with Distribution.
Responsibilities:
Assign all work assignments, create and balance the Book of Business assignments to the team to the work, manage the quality of the work and drive the people management activities within the team.
Ensure proper documentation, notification, escalation, tracking and follow ups occur for scheduled review of scorecards and coaching.
Able to anticipate, identify, and assess complex issues problems then develop and implement a corresponding plan of action for resolution
Able to become the subject matter expert with industry expertise to support team questions, escalations, problem solving and industry questions
Able to Identify root causes for customer dissatisfaction and recommend solutions to improve overall customer satisfaction
Requires analysis and solving moderately complex problems
May create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures
May performs incident notification and escalation to ensure problems requests issues are communicated effectively and receive proper management attention
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Team Lead
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Billing Operations
Preferred Qualifications
Group Insurance background
Experience in Health and/or Life Insurance Processes
Degree in Finance or Accounting
Experience with Analytics
Experience in Business Process Services
Experience in a Client Facing/Operations environment
Experience in coaching, training and/or auditing
Professional Skills
Microsoft Applications experience to include Word, OneNote, Excel (Pivot Tables, charts and/or macros), PowerPoint, and MS Project
Self-starter and fast learner requiring minimal direction
Experience exercising discretion while utilizing company policies and practices
Collaborative and excels in a team environment
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
