Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking an Instrumentation Drafting/Design Leader to lead our Instrument Drafting and Data Management capability across North America. In this role, you'll partner with engineering, construction, and operations teams to drive instrumentation design standards, data integrity, and continuous improvement while leading a team that supports critical projects and operating facilities across the business.

The ideal candidate will be based in Wichita, Kansas, with up to 25% travel to support industrial construction projects and operating facilities across the U.S. and Canada. Travel is flexible depending on needs in the business and facilities and is largely controlled by the individual.


Our Team

As a member of the KAES Team, you must thrive in fast paced and innovative environments. This role supports all Koch Ag & Energy operating facilities throughout the US and Canada. Our facilities manufacture fertilizer, other ammonia related products and Methanol products. This centralized team supports engineering, construction and operations teams with large and small capital projects, turnaround events and sustaining operations.


What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Leading a team of internal employees, 3rd party and remote business partners to execute instrumentation drawings and data management activities within capital projects, construction and daily operations.
  • Manage and maintain the company’s Instrumentation drawings and data within Hexagon Smart Plant Instrumentation.
  • Develop data and work process driven business visions to support business needs.
  • Develop and execute drawing and data management best practices, and work processes across the company.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, efficiency, and work processes.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of instrumentation drawings, databases, and related documentation.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Three (3) or more years of leadership or supervisor experience.
  • Hands-on experience using Hexagon SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) software.
  • Experience in a support or shared-services organiza
